We all like to see great looking websites that entice us with great graphics, rewarding content and well laid out information. Today most website designs are usually of a reasonable standard; even a website designer sat at home is able to cobble something together using simple software and a good sense of colour co-ordination. However there are those website that are an abomination to the senses, so horrible that they make any web designer have terrible nightmares, leaving them gasping for breath at the sheer horror of choice of colour and layout. Some designers even go so far as claiming these sites are so terrible that they are in fact cool because of their anti-design stance. We will let you be the judge of that theory. Some people however, no matter how hard they try, just cannot seem to get the hang of laying out an appealing website. Just like some people can’t dance, like at a wedding I attended earlier in the week, its shocked me that some people would even attempt to body-pop ‘badly’ in a designer suit, but that doesn’t stop them, my guess is they do it purely for the amusement of others, or it certainly seemed that way. Below we have collated what we think are the top 10 most graphically offensive or extremely anti-design websites we have come across recently. They say beauty is in the eye of the beholder, in the case of these websites, we say the creator needs to go and have corrective eye surgery as you could probably do better if you smashed your face in to your keyboard several times.
NUMBER 1 http://www.frnz.de Holy shizzle – what the hell is going on here? Someone’s just gone all out with animated gifs.
Number 2 http://msy.com.au/ Okay this website has nothing on the above example but considering they are computer experts, perhaps they should invest an visual overhaul ASAP.
Number 3 http://www.arngren.net/ Okay guys – this one a information overload, the creators of this site seem to think that people have double page spread monitors. Although I must admit they do have some nifty things for sale on their site.
Number 4 http://www.lingscars.com/ I’m sure ling has taken inspiration from example one. I think she is actually cool when she called out the Dragon’s on the hit TV show Dragons Den and said ‘I Chinese, we eat Dragons for breakfast’ you tell em’ Ling, but please get your website sorted.

Number 5 http://shop.videosoniclab.ihoststudio.com/default.aspx?categoryid=0 Another double page spread website with the best touch I have ever seen, a cute picture of their kid in PJ’s at the top of the page. Guys if you’re still in business, you need to give Sizzle Media a call, seriously!

Number 6 http://ronoslund.com/ I don’t know who Ron Oslund is, and I’m sure he’s a lovely chap, but his webpage is definitely a contender for the cheesiest website award 2010, including a very visual tribute to the late Lady Di.

Number 7 http://www.5safepoints.com/TCCscheduleofclasses.html If your sensitive to rapidly changing colours and prone to migraines, I would avoid staring at this for more than a few seconds.

Number 8 WTF? Design aesthetics aside Is that spice girls music in the background? NOOOO http://www.kibo.com/webtv/webtv.html
Number 9 http://yvettesbridalformal.com/index.htm Okay, this website can perhaps be a contender for the anti design theory because bizarly it sort of works in a sacry way.

Number 10 http://www.miauk.com/ Now this website really is visual eye sore, why do this? She has a track called Bird flu, which is kind of catchy http://www.miauk.com/birdflu.html - I think she’s India’s answer to Gwen Stefani
And that is our rundown of the top ten most terrible websites to date 2010.
